Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital in Avalon Park, Orlando, hiring a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join a growing, community-centered companion animal practice. The clinic blends modern veterinary medicine with a strong focus on empathy, connection, and sustainability, providing high-quality care while fostering a supportive and balanced workplace culture. Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and is closed on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. This role is offered on a full-time basis.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will examine and treat companion animals to diagnose illness or injury and determine appropriate treatment plans. Clinical responsibilities include operating diagnostic equipment, collecting and interpreting diagnostic samples, performing surgical procedures, prescribing medications, and advising clients on preventative care and treatment options. The role also involves providing compassionate guidance around end-of-life care, maintaining accurate and detailed medical records, and ensuring compliance with veterinary ethics, statutes, policies, and procedures. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

The hospital is newly remodeled and expanded and has been recognized within the local community for its quality of care. Services offered include pet physical examinations, allergy and dermatology care, cat-friendly handling, pet dentistry, nutrition consultations, palliative and hospice care, routine bloodwork, spay and neuter procedures, pet surgery, wellness care, digital radiography, and laser therapy. The practice culture emphasizes collaboration, empathy, and sustainability, with a focus on delivering modern medicine in a supportive and balanced environment.
Team
The veterinary team consists of two DVMs supported by a strong and dedicated support team. The environment is collaborative and close-knit, with an emphasis on teamwork, mutual respect, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
