Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their AAHA-accredited small animal practice in Orangevale. The hospital provides high-quality veterinary care for cats and dogs and is equipped with advanced diagnostic and medical technology to support a wide range of clinical services within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm and on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The position offers full-time or part-time flexibility. There is no on-call or overnight responsibility.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a broad caseload within a small animal practice focused on preventative care while also handling a variety of medical and surgical cases. Clinical responsibilities include general surgery, dentistry, dental radiography, radiology, internal medicine, ultrasound, EKG, geriatric medicine, pain management, full diagnostics, anesthesia, and routine procedures. The role is open to experienced veterinarians as well as new graduates, with dedicated mentorship provided.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA-accredited and equipped with electronic medical records, a full in-house laboratory, access to a reference laboratory, ultrasound, digital radiography with board-certified radiology reports, hands-free radiology, a fully equipped dental suite with digital dental radiography, EKG, OFA X-ray, tonopen, and an in-office surgical suite. Services offered include anesthesia, allergy and itchy skin relief, dental care, dentistry, ear checks, euthanasia services, general surgery, geriatric medicine, health exams and certificates, hospitalization, intensive care, internal medicine, isolation, pain management, radiology, routine surgeries, and spays and neuters. The hospital maintains a strong community-focused culture with loyal clientele and convenient access to specialty referral hospitals.

Team
The hospital team consists of 3 DVMs, 5 veterinary assistants, 2 RVTs, and 3 additional support staff working together in a collaborative and welcoming environment committed to providing thorough and compassionate patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
