Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian position. The practice is a full-service general clinic providing care for cats, dogs, and small mammals, and is seeking a veterinarian to join a collaborative team delivering evidence-based, compassionate, and individualized patient care.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The role is available on a full-time or part-time basis, with flexibility to help shape an appropriate schedule. The practice offers scheduled appointments, same-day visits, and 24/7 on-call consults. No additional after-hours or emergency rota details are specified.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. Clinical responsibilities include delivering high-quality general practice medicine across wellness, preventive care, diagnostics, surgery, and dentistry. The Associate Veterinarian will manage medical cases collaboratively, perform routine soft tissue surgeries and dental procedures, and provide clear, compassionate communication to clients. The role emphasizes teamwork, continued learning, mentorship, and building trusting relationships with pet owners while delivering excellent medical outcomes.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA-accredited and operates as a well-equipped, full-service general practice with strong diagnostic and treatment capabilities. Facilities and equipment support advanced in-house care, including digital radiography, an in-house laboratory, ultrasound, dental radiology, and laser therapy. Services offered include wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite prevention, spay and neuter procedures, general and soft tissue surgery, dental care, diagnostic testing, advanced imaging, microchipping, dermatology and allergy care, behavior and anxiety support, prescription management, and end-of-life care. The culture is centered on teamwork, curiosity, strong communication, and enjoying the practice of medicine while maintaining high clinical standards.

The hospital is supported by 4 DVMs and a fantastic support team, creating a collaborative, mentoring-focused environment where teamwork and shared learning are integral to daily practice.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
