Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a practice providing comprehensive veterinary care and is currently hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The practice sees dogs and cats as well as pocket pets, offering an opportunity to work with a varied small animal caseload.

Working Hours / Rota
The practice is open Sunday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm and Monday through Saturday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, with appointments scheduled between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. The role is available on a full-time or part-time basis, with preferred working days of Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays. Full-time candidates would work an additional weekday.

Role Description and Responsibilities
In this role, you will deliver high-quality primary veterinary care across a broad caseload, including routine consultations, preventative healthcare, diagnostics, and medical case management. You will perform soft-tissue surgeries and dental procedures, interpret laboratory results and imaging, and develop clear, effective treatment plans tailored to each patient. The role involves working collaboratively with experienced veterinary nurses and support staff, maintaining accurate clinical records, and providing excellent client communication around diagnoses, treatment options, and ongoing care. Experienced veterinarians and new graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive dedicated mentorship.

Practice Details
The practice is Fear-Free and AAHA accredited and is equipped with hands-free radiology and a wide range of in-house diagnostics, including cPL testing, coagulation testing, chemistries, and CBC. Additional facilities and technology include therapeutic laser capabilities as well as canine and feline overnight boarding and daycare. Clinical services offered include cold laser therapy, cryosurgery, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, digital radiology, EKG, laser surgery, OFA X-rays, ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery, stem cell therapy, Tonopen use, ultrasound, health certificates, and health exams, supporting a diverse and engaging caseload.

Team
The team consists of four veterinarians supported by five credentialed veterinary technicians, including one new RVT who brings both experience and a fresh perspective on patient care and support. The working environment is collaborative and supportive, with a strong focus on teamwork and mentorship.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
