Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a small animal, exotic, and wildlife hospital that has proudly served O’Fallon and the surrounding communities for over 20 years. They are looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join the practice on either a full-time or part-time basis.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide a full scope of general practice care, with responsibilities including wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with doctor hours open to discussion.
Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 6pm and Saturday from 8am to 2pm. It is AAHA-accredited, Fear-Free Certified, and Cat-Friendly, and is well equipped to support a broad and varied caseload across small animals, exotics, and wildlife. Equipment includes digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, and an in-house laboratory, alongside dedicated surgical and dental suites. The hospital also has a fully equipped rehabilitation space featuring an underwater treadmill, therapeutic ultrasound, and laser therapy. The practice provides a comprehensive range of services including wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, dentistry, advanced diagnostics, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, chiropractic care, acupuncture, laser and shockwave therapy, pain management, physical rehabilitation, underwater treadmill therapy, and therapeutic ultrasound.
Team
The hospital has a team of four DVMs supported by an experienced, long-tenured support team, with a 3:1 staff-to-doctor ratio. This includes seven highly utilized RVTs who support the doctors in delivering exceptional patient care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
