Introduction
Our client is a practice providing comprehensive veterinary care for dogs, cats, and exotic animals in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join the team on a part-time basis. The practice offers an established small animal general practice environment with a strong emphasis on compassionate, individualized patient care and building lasting client relationships. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian seeking a consistent part-time schedule, ideally working Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with participation in a rotating Saturday schedule.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive veterinary care across a varied caseload, including wellness examinations, preventive medicine, diagnostic investigations, urgent care, surgery, and dentistry. Responsibilities include performing physical examinations, developing treatment plans, administering medications and vaccinations, and carrying out procedures such as spaying and neutering, soft tissue surgery, and dental surgery. The role also involves maintaining accurate medical records, communicating treatment recommendations to clients, and providing ongoing patient care. The practice is specifically seeking an experienced veterinarian who is confident managing a general practice caseload and enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues.

Practice Details
The practice offers a range of veterinary services, including wellness and preventive care, diagnostic investigations, surgical procedures, dental care, and exotic animal medicine. Surgical services include spaying and neutering, soft tissue surgery, and dental surgery, supporting a varied clinical caseload. The practice benefits from the clinical and operational resources of a wider veterinary network, providing support and infrastructure while maintaining its individual practice identity. Opening hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with the practice closed on Sundays.

Team
The practice has two DVMs and a great tenured support team. The working environment is collaborative and supportive, with a strong emphasis on communication, teamwork, and maintaining positive relationships with clients and colleagues.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
