Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital in Norwich, CT, seeking a veterinarian to join their growing team. The hospital is a mixed animal practice, providing care for both large and small animals, and combines modern veterinary services with a welcoming, small-town environment. The practice has a newly renovated facility and is committed to personalized, community-centered care, offering mentorship and support for professional growth.
Working Hours / Rota
The role offers a balanced schedule of four ten-hour shifts per week with a rotating Saturday. Specific doctor hours are open to discussion, and the position can accommodate full-time or part-time preferences.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The veterinarian will perform full general practice responsibilities, with the option to focus on small animals, large animals, or a combination of both. The hospital emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and professional development, allowing veterinarians to tailor their clinical experience to their interests. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and recent graduates.
Practice Details
The facility includes five exam rooms, a fully equipped surgery suite, space for dentistry, and onsite ultrasound. The hospital also has a strong relationship with a local ultrasonographer. The practice prioritizes efficiency, comfort, and high-quality care, offering opportunities to expand skills and services with support from the hospital.
Team
The veterinarian will join a collaborative and supportive team of five DVMs and additional support staff. Experienced veterinary technicians and assistants provide a minimum of 1:1 support, fostering a positive, mentoring-focused environment. The hospital emphasizes community, personalized care, and professional growth.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
