Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their small animal practice. The clinic provides care for dogs and cats and is built around a Fear Free approach, focusing on creating a calm, low-stress environment while delivering high-quality, personalized veterinary medicine within a collaborative and supportive setting.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Saturday from 10:00am to 2:00pm, and Sunday from 11:00am to 3:00pm. Full-time hours range from 24 to 32 hours per week.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide medical, surgical, and dental care to small animal patients, including preventive wellness, diagnostics, and urgent care. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating cases, performing procedures, and communicating clearly with clients to support informed decision-making and strong relationships. The role also involves collaborating with the veterinary team, mentoring support staff, and contributing to a positive hospital culture. An apprenticeship-style mentorship model supports ongoing clinical development, and the position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. Fear Free certification is not a prerequisite, but willingness to become certified is required.

Services offered include preventive and wellness care, urgent care, advanced diagnostics, surgery, and dental care. Advanced capabilities include comprehensive diagnostic testing, digital X-rays, laser therapy, stem cell therapy, immunotherapy, and plasma therapy. The team includes three DVMs supported by a collaborative and mentorship-focused staff. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
