Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a small animal general practice hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The clinic provides comprehensive care for companion animals and is well established within the community, offering a strong client base and a collaborative working environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with doctor hours from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with doctor hours from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with doctor hours from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The role offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time options available.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. Responsibilities include delivering a wide range of clinical services such as wellness and preventative care, diagnostics, dentistry, and surgery. The role involves providing high-quality patient care, performing procedures including soft tissue surgery and dental work, utilizing diagnostic tools such as radiology and ultrasound, and maintaining strong client communication. The position also encourages collaboration within the team and participation in community-focused initiatives such as shelter and rescue programs.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA accredited and practices hands-free and Fear Free medicine, reflecting a commitment to high standards of care and patient wellbeing. It offers advanced and primary care services including digital radiology, ultrasound, EKG, in-house laboratory and pharmacy, surgical suite, and dental X-rays. Services include preventative care, wellness exams, immunizations, parasite control, weight management, allergy treatment, anesthesia, pain management, routine and advanced surgery, urology, and geriatric medicine. The clinic is well established within the community with a strong management team and ongoing involvement in shelter and rescue partnerships.

Team
The team consists of 8 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, creating a collaborative and supportive working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
