Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The practice provides small animal veterinary care and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join a growing clinical team. The hospital sees a varied patient mix and supports both experienced veterinarians and new graduates through dedicated mentorship.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Thursday from 9:00am to 6:00pm, Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, and Saturday from 8:00am to 1:00pm, with the hospital closed on Sundays. The role is available on a full-time or part-time basis.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive veterinary care across a varied caseload. Clinical responsibilities include wellness and preventive care, dentistry, anesthesia, pain management, routine and soft tissue surgery, spays and neuters, radiology, ultrasound, and management of medical conditions such as diabetes and feline hyperthyroidism. The role involves delivering high-quality primary and advanced care while collaborating closely with the clinical team. New graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive structured mentorship, while experienced veterinarians will have the opportunity to practice advanced medicine and surgery.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA-accredited and equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment capabilities, including ultrasound, dental radiography, echocardiography, EKG, endoscopy, and radiology. Services offered span preventive care, primary care, advanced medical management, dentistry, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, and wellness programs for adult and senior patients. The practice supports high clinical standards and utilizes strong infrastructure to enable comprehensive patient care.

Team
The team consists of two DVMs supported by four veterinary assistants and two credentialed veterinary technicians. The working environment is collaborative and supportive, with a strong focus on teamwork, mentorship, and professional development.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
