Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a full-service small animal hospital seeking a Full-Time Associate Veterinarian to join their dedicated team. The hospital specializes in comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental services, providing high-quality care to companion animals. This opportunity is ideal for a compassionate, team-oriented veterinarian who is proficient in general medicine and surgery and values collaboration in a supportive environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The hospital is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position with no after-hours requirements.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for providing general practice services, including wellness care, preventive medicine, diagnostics, surgery, and dentistry. Clinical responsibilities cover all aspects of GP medicine, such as vaccinations, parasite prevention, dental care, microchipping, and senior pet care. The role is open to experienced veterinarians who thrive in a collaborative, team-based setting and are strong communicators.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including an in-house surgery suite, digital radiography, and a fully stocked pharmacy. In addition, the team works closely with local referral hospitals for specialized diagnostic procedures, ensuring pets receive the highest standard of care. Services offered include wellness care, vaccinations, dental care, surgery, in-house diagnostics, parasite prevention, microchipping, and senior pet care. The hospital is well established and maintains a reputation for compassionate, high-quality veterinary services.
Team
The hospital team consists of four DVMs supported by a skilled and dedicated support staff. The environment is collaborative and team-focused, with an emphasis on ensuring the well-being of both patients and staff.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
