Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited, full-service veterinary hospital seeking a Full-Time Associate Veterinarian to join its team. The practice treats a particularly diverse range of species, including dogs, cats, exotics, birds, reptiles, rabbits, and small mammals and pocket pets. With a 4.8-star Google review, the hospital offers a broad clinical environment spanning preventative medicine, advanced diagnostics, urgent care, dentistry, hospitalization, and surgery. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical, surgical, and preventative care while building strong relationships with clients through clear communication and education. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive physical examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, interpreting diagnostic tests, and performing routine soft tissue surgeries and dentistry where applicable.
The veterinarian will also maintain accurate medical records, promote preventative healthcare, follow hospital protocols, and collaborate with the wider veterinary team to ensure a high standard of patient care while contributing to a positive, supportive, and team-oriented working environment.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. It is closed on Sundays, with urgent and emergency cases seen during normal business hours.
This full-service veterinary hospital is equipped for preventative care, advanced diagnostics, urgent cases, dentistry, hospitalization, and routine through advanced surgical procedures. The practice describes its diagnostic and surgical equipment as state-of-the-art, with digital radiography, ultrasound, tonometry, and in-house blood and laboratory testing available. Ultrasound supports abdominal imaging and can also be used to assess the heart or identify fluid within the chest or abdomen.
For surgical cases, modern anesthetic agents and current anesthetic monitoring equipment are used, with patients monitored before, during, and after procedures. Surgical capabilities extend beyond routine procedures to include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, CCL repair, and TPLO.
The clinical offering spans Wellness and Prevention, Testing and Diagnostics, Advanced Care, Surgical Procedures, and Urgent Care. Preventative services include wellness examinations, vaccinations, dental care, microchipping, preventative screening, hospice, and euthanasia alongside general health management.
Advanced medical services include animal reproduction, breeding management, ovulation timing, artificial insemination, pregnancy diagnosis, C-sections, behavior therapy, cardiology, endocrinology, ophthalmic care, orthopedics, pain management, exotic medicine, pocket pet medicine, and rabbit care. Surgical procedures include spays and neuters, soft tissue surgery, CCL repair, TPLO surgery, mass removal, orthopedic surgery, dental surgery, cystotomy, and vulvoplasty.
Urgent cases are managed during hospital hours, with access to blood analysis, X-rays, emergency surgery, fracture repair, and medication when clinically appropriate. The practice is equipped to manage the majority of its patients’ medical and surgical needs in-house, with access to multiple board-certified specialists through a specialist network. Veterinarians can consult directly with specialists on complex cases, allowing some patients to remain under the hospital’s care rather than automatically requiring referral.

Team
The hospital has a seven-veterinarian team working across an unusually broad range of medicine for a general practice environment. The clinical variety provides the opportunity to work across routine canine and feline general practice alongside exotic medicine, reproduction, urgent care, ultrasound, orthopedics, and advanced surgery.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
