Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a privately owned hospital providing veterinary care primarily for cats and dogs and is looking to hire an Associate Veterinarian on either a full-time or part-time basis. One doctor also sees avian, exotic, and pocket pet cases, providing scope for a veterinarian interested in expanding into these areas. The hospital is proudly privately owned.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for the full scope of general practice responsibilities. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. Flexible scheduling is available, with full-time doctors working four days per week and part-time schedules available from two days per week.
Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of general practice services, including wellness, preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry. Appointments are typically scheduled for 30 minutes, with some wellness appointments scheduled for 20 minutes. Equipment includes in-house IDEXX laboratory equipment, digital X-ray, digital dental X-ray, CT, ultrasound, laser therapy, a surgical laser, an endoscope, and EMR. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 7:30pm and Saturday from 7:30am to 3:00pm.
Team
The team includes five full-time DVMs and is well supported by support staff.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
