Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The hospital is a full-service, multi-species practice providing care for dogs, cats, exotic pets, pocket pets, birds, and reptiles.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 6:00pm, Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm, and Saturday from 8:30am to 2:00pm. Saturday evenings and Sundays are by appointment only. The role is full-time.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will examine patients, diagnose medical conditions, and deliver high-quality veterinary care. Clinical responsibilities include surgery and dentistry, wellness and preventative care, diagnostic workups, vaccinations, wound management, prescribing medications, and client education. The role involves operating diagnostic equipment such as radiography and ultrasound and working collaboratively with the medical team. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian confident in surgery and dentistry.
Practice Details
The hospital is a full-service, multi-species facility offering advanced diagnostics and surgical capabilities. Equipment and facilities include in-house laboratory testing, radiology, ultrasound, anesthesia and surgical services, pharmacy, and boarding. Services provided include internal medicine, emergency care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, spay and neuter procedures, orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries, nutritional counseling, behavioral counseling, and comprehensive care for exotic species. The practice supports a diverse caseload and emphasizes high-quality medicine in a collaborative, supportive environment.
Team
The team consists of two DVMs supported by an experienced support staff. The environment is collaborative and team-oriented, with a strong focus on communication, clinical quality, and providing comprehensive care across a wide range of species.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
