Introduction
Our client is an established small animal veterinary hospital seeking a full-time or part-time Associate Veterinarian to join its General Practice team, with relief opportunities also considered. The hospital has been serving its local community for over 45 years, providing comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats, with opportunities for veterinarians interested in treating exotic species such as pocket pets and reptiles. The practice offers a welcoming, Fear Free environment with a strong emphasis on teamwork, clinical autonomy and work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive small animal care, including wellness and preventative medicine, vaccinations, diagnostics, dentistry and surgery. Surgical responsibilities include routine spays and neuters, mass removals, foreign-body removals and other soft tissue procedures, with access to surgical laser technology. The role offers flexibility to develop individual clinical interests and shape the caseload accordingly. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates are encouraged to apply, with hands-on mentorship available for early-career doctors and clinical autonomy supported for experienced practitioners. Flexible scheduling is available, with no Sundays or holidays and a guaranteed three-day weekend each month.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a range of general veterinary services, including wellness examinations, tailored preventative care programs, vaccinations, microchipping, dentistry, diagnostic testing and surgical procedures. Equipment includes digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, surgical laser technology and in-house laboratory facilities for bloodwork, fecal testing and urinalysis. The practice operates a fully paperless system and follows Fear Free principles, with all veterinarians and most support staff Fear Free certified. The hospital is preparing to expand into a larger facility, providing opportunities for continued growth and development. Opening hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM, with Sundays closed.

The hospital has two DVMs supported by an established veterinary support team. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
