Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a privately owned veterinary practice hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The hospital sees cats and dogs and is also open to exotics and pocket pets if the candidate wishes to offer this as a service.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, and is closed on Sundays. Ideally, the role would be four days per week with every other Saturday, however the practice is very open to discussion. The position can be full-time or part-time and offers complete flexibility to suit the successful candidate.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care across a range of medical and surgical cases. Your duties will include performing thorough clinical examinations, diagnosing and treating illness and injury, interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing appropriate treatment plans. You will carry out routine surgical procedures, administer medications and vaccines, and provide emergency or urgent care when required. A key part of the role involves delivering preventative healthcare and advising clients on animal health, nutrition, and disease prevention. You will maintain accurate clinical records, ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards, and work collaboratively with the wider veterinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes. Veterinarians of all experience levels are encouraged to apply.

Practice Details
The practice is proud to offer a range of in-house diagnostic tools designed to support efficient and high-quality patient care. Equipment includes digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, surgical and monitoring equipment, and an in-house laboratory. These state-of-the-art diagnostic tools allow the team to diagnose patients more quickly so treatment can begin sooner. The practice is committed to continuous learning to ensure the highest level of veterinary care is delivered. Services offered include exams and consultations, surgery, preventative medicine, diagnostics, pharmacy services, nutritional counseling, and dental care.

Team
The hospital currently has two DVMs and is supported by a great team of support staff. The support team plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations and fostering a positive, collaborative working environment where veterinarians are well supported and able to focus on delivering excellent patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
