Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a small animal general practice hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The clinic provides comprehensive care for cats and dogs, offering a mix of wellness, sick visits, and urgent care within a supportive and well-equipped environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Tuesday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Thursday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the hospital closed on weekends. The role offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time options available.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. Responsibilities include delivering wellness and preventative care, managing sick cases and urgent care appointments, and performing procedures such as surgery and dentistry. The role involves maintaining strong client communication, utilizing diagnostic tools to support patient care, and contributing to a collaborative team environment with dedicated mentorship available.
Practice Details
The hospital is Fear Free Certified and offers a wide range of services including wellness exams, vaccinations, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, radiology, and urgent care. It is equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography, digital dental X-ray, and in-house laboratory machines. Additional services include boarding for cats and dogs. The practice manages a varied caseload with a mix of wellness, sick, and urgent care appointments, supporting high-quality patient care in a well-resourced setting.
Team
The team consists of 2 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team within a wider team of 14 staff members, creating a collaborative and supportive working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
