Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a practice providing primary veterinary care for dogs and cats on Manhattan’s Upper West Side and is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join the team. The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and focuses on high-quality, evidence-based medicine, compassionate patient care, open communication, and building lasting relationships with clients and their pets.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive primary care throughout every stage of a patient’s life, including wellness and sick examinations, vaccinations, heartworm prevention, flea and tick prevention, preventive dental care, spay and neuter procedures, diagnostic testing, and end-of-life care. The role involves delivering evidence-based medicine, communicating effectively with clients, and developing trusted relationships with pet owners while contributing to a positive clinical environment. This position is specifically for an experienced veterinarian.
Practice Details
The practice is AAHA-accredited and provides wellness and preventive care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and treatment tailored to individual patient needs. Diagnostic services include blood, urine, and fecal testing. The practice is open Monday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Thursday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Friday and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The practice has three DVMs and a great tenured support team. The environment is supportive, collaborative, and team-oriented, with an emphasis on high-quality medicine, effective communication, professional growth, and providing exceptional patient care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
