Introduction
Our client is a full-service veterinary hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The practice provides comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats and is located in New Port Richey, Florida. The hospital offers a collaborative culture that supports a variety of medical and surgical cases while encouraging professional development and growth.

Working Hours / Rota
This position offers either full-time or part-time opportunities. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a varied caseload that includes appointments and surgical procedures during the hospital’s open hours. The role focuses on delivering patient care through a relationship-based approach with clients while collaborating closely with the clinical team and leadership. Responsibilities also include building relationships within the practice and the local community and supporting the development of support staff through internal training programs. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital is a full-service veterinary medical facility that has been AAHA-accredited since 1986. The practice is equipped with ultrasound, digital radiology, and digital dental x-rays, and utilizes electronic medical records and in-house laboratory equipment. Services offered include behavioral medicine, dental care, diagnostics and laboratory services, emergency pet services, end-of-life care, microchipping, baths and nail trims, nutritional counseling, pain management, parasite prevention and control, spay and neuter procedures, surgery and anesthesia, urgent care, vaccinations, wellness exams, wellness testing, and wound care. The hospital emphasizes a welcoming, family-like environment where pets are treated as part of the family and where the team aims to provide supportive, high-quality care.

The hospital team currently includes 1 DVM supported by a great tenured support team, creating a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
