Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their growing small animal practice just outside Indianapolis. The hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats and is focused on delivering high-quality medicine in a collaborative, community-centered environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. The position is available on a full or part-time offering flexibility to support work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will practice small animal medicine with responsibilities including preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and client education. The role involves building lasting relationships with clients and their pets while delivering thoughtful, high-quality care. Candidates should be proficient in general medicine, surgery, and dentistry. The hospital welcomes both experienced veterinarians and newer graduates seeking mentorship and tailored support.

Practice Details
This is a modern, well-equipped facility offering wellness care, vaccinations, dental care, surgery, in-house diagnostics, parasite prevention, nutritional counseling, microchipping, senior pet care, and urgent care services. The hospital features a remodeled surgical suite with state-of-the-art surgical and anesthetic equipment, including laser surgery capabilities. Diagnostic capabilities include an in-house laboratory for rapid screening tests such as heartworm testing, feline leukemia and FIV testing, urinalysis, complete blood counts, pre-surgical screenings, and blood chemistry profiles, as well as access to an external laboratory for advanced diagnostics. Additional diagnostic tools include digital X-ray and ultrasound to support accurate and timely diagnoses. Surgical services range from routine spays and neuters to mass removals, exploratory surgery for foreign body removal, cystotomy, ear hematoma repair, eyelid mass removal, entropion correction, and dental surgery.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
