Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing veterinary care for dogs and cats in New Milford, Connecticut. They are seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join their established practice. The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and has been serving the local veterinary community since 1979, with a focus on individualized patient care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive veterinary care across wellness, vaccinations, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, parasite prevention, microchipping, senior pet care, nutritional counseling, canine rehabilitation consultations, and PennHIP evaluations. The role offers the opportunity to approach cases with curiosity and compassion while delivering individualized care to each patient. This position is specifically for an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The hospital is PennHIP certified, trained in pet rehabilitation, and recognized as a Cat Friendly veterinary practice. Clinical equipment and capabilities include comprehensive in-house diagnostics, digital radiography, ultrasound, an oxygen cage, a portable anesthesia machine, and Phovia light therapy. The hospital works with animal welfare organizations to help find homes for unwanted pets and maintains relationships with several 24-hour emergency and specialty facilities for patients requiring advanced care. Opening hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
