Introduction
Our client is a small animal general practice located in a scenic lakeside community in Connecticut, hiring an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join a close-knit, collaborative team. The practice is known for pairing high-quality medicine with a positive, supportive culture and is committed to building long-term relationships with both patients and clients.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 1:00pm. Both full-time and part-time options are available.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a balanced small animal caseload that includes wellness and preventive care, sick visits, and surgical cases. Clinical responsibilities include performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, completing soft tissue surgery and dentistry, utilizing in-house diagnostics and imaging, and providing compassionate, clear client communication. This role is designed for an experienced veterinarian who values medical autonomy, teamwork, and continuous professional growth within a collaborative environment.

Practice Details
This is a well-established small animal general practice that has served its community for over 30 years and maintains an excellent reputation for compassionate, reliable care. The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, and fully equipped dental and surgical suites to support efficient, high-quality medicine. Services offered include wellness exams, vaccinations, diagnostics and imaging, dental care, soft tissue and advanced surgery, travel health certificates, and end-of-life care. The practice culture is collaborative, low-drama, and team-focused, with strong leadership support and an emphasis on enjoying the workday while practicing excellent medicine.

Team
The hospital is supported by one DVM and a great support team, with approximately three to four support staff per doctor. The environment is highly collaborative and well-staffed, allowing veterinarians to focus on patient care while working alongside skilled technicians, dedicated client service representatives, and engaged leadership.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
