Providing care for dogs, cats, and exotic pets including birds, reptiles, rabbits, and small mammals, the hospital is an established full-service practice with an excellent 4.8-star Google rating, reflecting the strong reputation it has developed within its local community. The practice offers a collaborative clinical environment centered around high-quality medicine, clinical autonomy, and continued professional development.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities across a varied companion animal caseload. You’ll have autonomy over your cases, taking the lead on clinical decision-making, diagnostics, treatment planning, and ongoing patient management while maintaining high standards of medicine. The hospital’s broad clinical offering provides opportunities to work across preventative care, internal medicine, dentistry, diagnostics, and routine through advanced surgical cases. You’ll work alongside an experienced veterinary and paraprofessional team within an environment that encourages collaboration, case discussion, and continued learning. The practice also provides access to consultation with board-certified specialists when additional expertise would benefit a case, supporting the management of more complex medical and surgical presentations while allowing clinicians to retain meaningful case involvement.
Practice Details
The hospital provides a comprehensive scope of GP services alongside advanced diagnostics, medical care, exotic medicine, and routine advanced surgical procedures. Its diagnostic capabilities include digital radiography, ultrasound, tonometry, and laboratory testing, while surgical patients are supported by modern anesthetic agents and advanced anesthetic monitoring equipment. The practice utilizes state-of-the-art surgical equipment to support its surgical caseload. The hospital also has access to advanced orthopedic and soft-tissue surgical capabilities, including TPLO, FHO, medial patellar luxation repair, BOAS surgery, anal sacculectomy, hernia repair, mastectomy, and splenectomy. Its wider clinical capabilities are strengthened by access to board-certified specialist consultation, providing additional support for cases requiring advanced expertise. The hospital is open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday and Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays.
Team
You’ll be joining a team of 4 veterinarians, including a Medical Director, supported by an established team of credentialed veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, client service professionals, and practice leadership. The support team includes multiple Certified and Licensed Veterinary Technicians, providing experienced clinical support across the hospital. The practice fosters an environment of medical curiosity and collaboration, where case discussion and continuous learning are encouraged. Combined with access to specialist consultation and an experienced technical team, this provides a supportive clinical setting where veterinarians can maintain autonomy over their cases while drawing on the knowledge and experience of the wider team.
