Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for a full-time GP / Urgent Care Hybrid Veterinarian within an AAHA-accredited small animal practice. The hospital has been providing high-quality veterinary care to the community for over 40 years and treats dogs and cats. This role offers the opportunity to work across both general practice and urgent care, making it ideal for a veterinarian seeking a varied caseload within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The GP / Urgent Care Hybrid Veterinarian will provide a mix of routine and urgent medical care, including wellness exams, preventative care, diagnostics, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and management of urgent and same-day cases. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, performing medical and surgical procedures, and delivering clear client communication and education. The role also involves maintaining high clinical standards, ensuring patient comfort, and working closely with the team to deliver efficient and effective care across both scheduled and urgent appointments. Doctor hours are structured within the hospital’s operating schedule. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with structured mentorship and development support available.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM and is currently closed on weekends. The facility includes eight exam rooms with plans for expansion, and is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, ECG/EKG, an in-house laboratory, and laser therapy technology. Services offered include wellness and preventive care, diagnostics, dental and soft tissue surgery, orthopedic procedures such as TPLO, TTA, FHO, and fracture repair, senior care, microchipping, spay and neuter, parasite prevention, nutrition, allergy testing and treatment, ophthalmic exams, therapeutic laser treatments, urgent care, hospitalization, and a fully stocked pharmacy. The practice maintains AAHA accreditation and emphasizes high standards of medical care alongside a collaborative and supportive culture.

Team
The team consists of seven veterinarians supported by a strong group of experienced technicians and support staff. The environment is highly collaborative, well-structured, and mentorship-focused, with strong retention and development programs supporting both new graduates and experienced clinicians.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
