Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a mobile general practice hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The clinic provides in-home veterinary care, offering a personalized and low-stress experience focused on building strong client relationships and delivering high-quality medicine.
Working Hours / Rota
The role operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with Sunday limited to emergency appointments only. The position offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time options available.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. Responsibilities include performing in-home wellness exams, vaccinations, diagnostics, and urgent care, while building strong, long-term client relationships. The role involves delivering patient care in a mobile setting, utilizing portable diagnostics and equipment, and collaborating with a dedicated veterinary assistant to provide efficient and high-quality care. There is a focus on client communication, preventative medicine, and individualized treatment plans.
Practice Details
The practice is a mobile GP clinic providing services including wellness exams, urgent care, vaccinations, bloodwork and diagnostics, ultrasound and echocardiogram, medications, parasite prevention, microchipping, travel certificates, and end-of-life care. The clinic operates with a low daily caseload of approximately 6–8 appointments, allowing for a more personalized approach to patient care. Veterinarians are supported with access to diagnostics, scopes, and portable technology, and benefit from a collaborative team environment despite the mobile setting.
Team
The team consists of 6 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, with a 1:1 veterinary assistant ratio, fostering a collaborative and well-supported working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
