Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a practice providing small animal veterinary care for dogs and cats in Nashville, Tennessee, and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join the team. The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and is a well-established practice with a loyal client base, modern equipment, and a focus on delivering high-quality, individualized patient care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive veterinary care including wellness and preventive medicine, vaccinations, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, parasite prevention, microchipping, and senior pet care. Surgical procedures include routine spays and neuters, dental surgery, tumor removals, abdominal and soft tissue procedures, orthopedic surgery, and biopsies. The role involves developing strong client relationships, minimizing patient stress and discomfort, staying current with veterinary medications, procedures, treatments, protocols, and equipment, and collaborating effectively with the wider hospital team. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates will be considered.

Practice Details
The practice offers wellness care, vaccinations, dentistry, surgery, in-house diagnostics, parasite prevention, boarding, microchipping, and senior pet care. Diagnostic capabilities include point-of-care laboratory testing, blood and urine testing, X-rays, ultrasound, microscopy, and ocular evaluations including Schirmer Tear Tests, fluorescein staining, and tonometry. External reference laboratories are also used when required. The practice is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on certain Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Team
The practice has two DVMs and a great tenured support team. The environment is supportive and collaborative, with an emphasis on teamwork, developing the support team, strong client relationships, and providing individualized care to every patient.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
