Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a full-service small animal hospital established in 1989 that provides top-quality medical care. They are hiring for a full-time Veterinarian to join their team. This hospital takes great pride in offering a wide range of general veterinary medicine services and is committed to ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent their team from practicing medicine with integrity. The species seen at the hospital are small animals.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is closed on Saturday and Sunday. The role is full time. The veterinarian will work three to four consistent shifts per week with no on-call responsibilities.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role includes delivering exceptional medical, surgical, preventive, and wellness care, as well as creating lasting bonds with clients in a welcoming and collaborative environment. Clinical responsibilities include surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, anesthesia and patient monitoring, health screening tests, nutritional counseling, preventive care, wellness and vaccination programs, and medical services.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with advanced medical devices such as digital dental radiography, standard digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, an in-house laboratory, and a paper-lite operating system. They offer a full range of services including anesthesia and patient monitoring, health screening tests, medical services, nutritional counseling, preventive services, surgical services, wellness and vaccination programs, dental cleanings and treatments, spay and neuter surgery, and pet supplies. The practice maintains strong referral connections with UC Davis and Bay Area specialists.

Team
The hospital currently has one DVM and a terrific team of support staff. The environment is collaborative and welcoming, and the team values integrity and service.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
