Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their AAHA-accredited small animal practice in Muncie, Indiana. The hospital provides comprehensive care for dogs and cats and is dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality medicine within a supportive and education-focused environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 7:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am to 2:00pm, and is closed on Sunday. This is a full-time position within the hospital’s regular operating hours.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will build lasting relationships with clients and their pets while leading patient care from diagnosis through treatment. Daily responsibilities include conducting examinations, developing treatment plans, educating and empowering clients, and collaborating closely with the clinical team. The role involves practicing high-quality small animal medicine in alignment with AAHA standards. Candidates must hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and maintain a valid state license in good standing. Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited hospital provides wellness exams, vaccinations, spay and neuter procedures, microchipping, surgery, dental care, dermatology, diagnostics, and urgent care services. Surgical offerings include soft tissue and orthopedic procedures such as spaying and neutering, exploratory surgery, mass and skin growth removal, bladder stone removal, fracture repair, eye surgeries including enucleation, and treatment of pyometra. The hospital follows structured surgical safety protocols, including pre-anesthetic exams and bloodwork, IV catheter placement, advanced monitoring equipment, heated surgical tables, and dedicated post-operative monitoring. Diagnostic capabilities include in-house laboratory testing, heartworm testing, fecal testing, tick-borne disease testing, blood chemistry, complete blood counts, comprehensive organ function panels, digital radiography, and ultrasound, with access to specialty laboratories for more complex cases. Same-day and urgent care appointments are available during regular business hours, with coordination for referral to specialty facilities when advanced or overnight care is required.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
