Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for a full-time small animal Associate Veterinarian. The practice sees a mixed caseload consisting of Small Animal (60%), Bovine-Beef (30%), Equine (5%), Small Ruminant (3%), and Swine/Poultry (1% each), although this position is specifically for a small animal-only veterinarian.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves a full scope of general practice responsibilities, with a typical day consisting of a variety of appointments ranging from routine vaccinations to more complex and interesting medical cases. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with doctor hours open to discussion.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm and is closed on weekends. It is well-equipped with advanced tools, including full Idexx lab equipment, digital X-ray, Tonopen, and both companion and large animal ultrasound. The facility includes three exam rooms, a wet table, isolation and surgery/recovery rooms, indoor kennels for dogs, and a dedicated cat room, ensuring efficient and comfortable care for all patients. The practice offers a full scope of general practice services.

Team
The team consists of 2 DVMs supported by a great team of support staff, fostering a collaborative working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
