Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing high-quality small animal veterinary care and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their AAHA-accredited practice in Mount Airy, NC. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a trusted, community-focused hospital dedicated to delivering advanced and compassionate care.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Thursday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am to 1:00pm, and is closed on Sundays. The role offers flexibility with full-time or part-time options available, with participation in Saturday coverage.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive patient care, including diagnosing and treating cases, performing surgical procedures, and delivering preventative and wellness care. Responsibilities include building strong client relationships, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with the clinical team to ensure the highest standards of care. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with a strong emphasis on communication, teamwork, and clinical excellence.

Practice Details
This is an AAHA-accredited small animal hospital offering a full scope of veterinary services for dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, and pocket pets. The practice features newly constructed, spacious facilities with in-house laboratories and radiology suites to support diagnostics. Services include wellness care, diagnostics, internal medicine, urgent care, advanced and orthopedic surgeries, regenerative medicine, acupuncture, dermatology, reproduction services, and end-of-life care. The hospital promotes a collaborative culture with access to internal specialty consultations and ongoing investment in medical equipment and education, enabling veterinarians to manage complex cases and practice advanced medicine.

Team
The team consists of 3 DVMs supported by a great tenured support staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
