Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital hiring an Associate Veterinarian to join their full-time team working primarily with cats and dogs. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive, team-oriented environment where collaboration, consistency, and quality medicine are highly valued. The practice is focused on companion animal care with a small percentage of large animal cases and offers a positive workplace culture with a strong, easygoing team.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will examine and treat companion animals to diagnose diseases and injuries while providing high-quality preventative and medical care. Responsibilities include operating diagnostic equipment, collecting and interpreting diagnostic samples, performing surgery, prescribing medications, maintaining medical records, and advising pet owners on treatment plans and preventative care options. The role also includes providing guidance surrounding end-of-life care while ensuring compliance with veterinary ethics, policies, and procedures. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
This is a full-service veterinary hospital committed to delivering high standards of patient care and customer service. Services offered include wellness exams, vaccinations, preventative care, dentistry, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, diagnostics, and the early detection and management of chronic diseases. The hospital provides a collaborative and supportive environment equipped to practice quality medicine while maintaining a strong focus on client communication and patient wellbeing. Hospital hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Team
The practice consists of 2 DVMs and a great tenured support team. The environment is supportive, collaborative, and team-focused, with staff who genuinely enjoy working together and supporting one another.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
