Introduction
Our client is a hospital looking to hire an Associate Veterinarian. Providing veterinary care for dogs, cats, pocket pets, birds, reptiles, and other exotic species, the practice combines mobile veterinary medicine with access to a traditional hospital environment, allowing veterinarians to deliver care both in clients’ homes and through established hospital facilities. Founded in 2010, the practice has developed a distinctive model centered around maintaining strong veterinarian-client-patient relationships while providing comprehensive veterinary care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities across a high-volume and diverse caseload. You’ll have the opportunity to manage your own cases and exercise clinical judgment across medical, diagnostic, surgical, and dental work, while benefiting from the flexibility of practicing both mobile and hospital-based veterinary medicine. The position places a strong emphasis on developing meaningful relationships with clients and maintaining continuity of care, while working collaboratively with veterinary technicians and the wider clinical team. There is also scope for veterinarians with relevant interests and experience to become involved in the practice’s surgical and dental caseload. The practice supports continued professional development and provides flexibility around scheduling to encourage a sustainable work-life balance.

Practice Details
The practice provides a full scope of GP services alongside Emergency Care, acupuncture, chiropractic care, and cold laser therapy, with hospital facilities available for cases and procedures requiring a traditional clinical setting. Its combination of mobile and hospital-based medicine allows veterinarians to retain the relationship-focused nature of house-call practice while having access to additional clinical resources when required. The hospital is equipped with mobile and hospital-based radiography, Dental Radiography, an In-House Laboratory, and modern anesthetic monitoring equipment, alongside state-of-the-art surgical facilities. This location also provides access to hospital-based surgery and dentistry. Hospital hours at the location vary

Team
You’ll be joining a team of 2 veterinarians, supported by veterinary technicians, a Patient Care Coordinator/Technician Assistant, an Office Manager, a Hospital Administrator, and wider practice leadership and support professionals. The structure provides clinical and operational support across both the mobile and hospital elements of the practice. The wider practice places a strong emphasis on collaboration, client relationships, professional development, and the veterinarian-patient bond. Its mobile model also creates close working relationships between veterinarians and technicians, while the hospital facilities provide an established clinical base for cases requiring additional diagnostics, procedures, or hospital-based care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
