Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital seeking a Small Animal/Equine Associate Veterinarian to join their growing mixed animal practice. The hospital cares for a variety of patients, including small animals, equine, and large animals, and offers an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys a diverse caseload. This position is open to both full-time and part-time candidates, with particular excitement for a doctor passionate about equine medicine.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. The schedule is designed with work-life balance in mind, offering flexibility and a consistent weekday off for each doctor.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide a wide range of services, including preventative and wellness care, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, large animal and equine services, and emergency support. The role offers the chance to expand equine medicine within the hospital while maintaining a well-rounded caseload across species. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with personalized mentorship and hands-on guidance available.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, laser therapy, ultrasound, in-house laboratory equipment, advanced surgical tools, an EKG, and ProVet cloud-based software for streamlined records. Facilities include a haul-in space for large animals, enabling both routine care and procedures on-site. Services extend from routine wellness and vaccinations, puppy and kitten care, senior pet care, surgery, and dental care, through to chiropractic care, stem cell therapy, emergency services, end-of-life care, and herd health management. The practice culture is supportive, collaborative, and mentorship-focused, with doctors supported by dedicated technicians and additional floating staff to ensure efficient workflow.

Team
The team consists of three DVMs alongside a skilled and experienced support staff. The environment emphasizes collaboration, humor, and mutual support, making it a positive and low-stress workplace that encourages both professional growth and strong team connection.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
