Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their well-established general practice. The clinic provides care for small animals and exotics and is a progressive, fast-paced practice offering comprehensive veterinary services within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00am to 11:00am and 2:00pm to 5:00pm, with Wednesday by appointment only, Saturday from 8:00am to 11:00am, and is closed on Sundays and holidays. The role is full-time, with flexibility required as hours may vary due to the walk-in nature of the clinic. The position may include evenings, weekends, and occasional extended hours depending on caseload.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering general medical, surgical, and dental care. Responsibilities include preventative care, wellness exams, diagnostics, urgent care, and surgery, alongside managing walk-in cases. The role requires strong communication skills and collaboration with the wider team to ensure high-quality patient care. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, in-house diagnostics, and high-speed dental equipment. Services offered include wellness care, vaccinations, surgery, dentistry, urgent care, nutritional counseling, parasite prevention, senior pet care, microchipping, and care for exotics. Additional diagnostic capabilities include bloodwork, fecal and urinalysis, ECG, endoscopy, and imaging tools. The clinic operates on a walk-in basis, offering outpatient care and attracting a broad caseload, supported by a culture that emphasizes teamwork, mentorship, and comprehensive patient care.

Team
The team consists of two DVMs supported by a collaborative and team-oriented staff, creating an environment focused on mentorship, communication, and shared success.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
