Job Description

Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited small animal practice seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team on either a full-time or part-time basis. Providing care for dogs, cats, and some exotic patients, the practice has been serving communities since 2000 and has built a trusted and respected reputation.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will work across general practice alongside some urgent care cases, seeing approximately 16 patients per doctor. The caseload includes wellness, diagnostics, dentistry, soft-tissue surgery, and urgent care. You will have the medical autonomy to practise exceptional medicine and surgery with the full support of the hospital’s medical systems and team. The practice is open to discussing scheduling preferences and welcomes applications from experienced veterinarians as well as motivated new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm and is closed on weekends. The practice is AAHA accredited and provides services including wellness care, treatment for illness and injury, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, spay and neuter procedures, surgery, end-of-life care, pain management, nutrition, anaesthesia, advanced surgeries, and laser therapy.

Team
The hospital has a team of three DVMs with approximately a 2:1 support staff ratio. Visiting orthopedic and ultrasound specialists are available at least once per month. The team provides a fast-paced and collaborative environment, with doctors working together to manage a diverse caseload while delivering thoughtful, individualised medicine and maintaining strong relationships with clients and their pets.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
