Introduction
Our client is a hospital in Morehead City, North Carolina, seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. Located near the picturesque Crystal Coast, the hospital has been a trusted part of the community since opening in 2000, offering compassionate and high-quality care to dogs, cats, and exotic pets. With AAHA accreditation and a commitment to excellence, the practice provides a cheerful and supportive environment where doctors can enjoy both professional fulfillment and coastal living.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am until 5:30pm and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. This schedule allows for excellent work-life balance with no weekend or after-hours requirements. Full-time veterinarians are preferred, but there is flexibility for the right candidate.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering a wide range of services, including wellness and sick visits, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, senior pet care, and exotic medicine. Daily responsibilities include developing and implementing medical protocols, performing routine and advanced surgeries, interpreting laboratory results, and educating clients to build long-lasting relationships. The role offers medical autonomy, allowing doctors to practice medicine their way, while benefiting from mentorship, continuing education opportunities, and a highly collaborative team. This position is open to experienced veterinarians as well as motivated new graduates who are eager to grow in a supportive environment.

Practice Details
The hospital operates from a state-of-the-art facility that was purpose-built in 2006, designed to ensure efficient client flow and a clean, organized environment for patient care and client education. As an AAHA-accredited practice, the hospital emphasizes the highest standards of veterinary medicine and client service. Services provided include preventive care, surgery, dentistry, senior pet care, laser therapy, and treatment of exotic pets. The caseload is diverse, offering opportunities for veterinarians to explore and grow their clinical interests.

Team
The team currently consists of two veterinarians working alongside a highly skilled support staff. The culture is collaborative, positive, and client-focused, with an emphasis on mentorship, teamwork, and high-quality medicine.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
