Introduction
An established AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital in Montgomery, Alabama is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its experienced team. Serving the River Region community since 1990, the hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats. The position provides the opportunity to manage a varied caseload within an established six-veterinarian environment, with access to advanced clinical resources, and continued professional development.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, including wellness and preventive care, diagnostic investigation, treatment planning, dentistry, surgery and ongoing medical management. The successful veterinarian will take responsibility for patient care from diagnosis through treatment, with the clinical autonomy to develop appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans and maintain high standards of veterinary care. Responsibilities include developing long-term client relationships, clearly communicating clinical findings and recommendations, and educating owners to support informed decision-making.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of GP services, alongside Urgent Care, advanced medical care, Laser Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery, with the hospital equipped to manage the majority of medical and surgical cases in-house. Diagnostic capabilities include Radiography, Tonometry, Blood & Laboratory Testing and Video Otoendoscopy, while surgical capabilities include advanced Soft Tissue and Orthopedic procedures. The hospital utilizes a Surgical Laser, EKG, Pulse Oximetry and Cardiac Monitoring, with intravenous fluid support available during surgical procedures. Veterinarians also have access to direct consultation with board-certified specialist when additional expertise is required for complex cases. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with the hospital closed on Sundays.

Team
The hospital currently has an established six-veterinarian team, including a Co-Lead Veterinarian and Lead Veterinarian, supported by hospital management and an experienced group of veterinary and client service professionals. The clinical environment places an emphasis on collaboration, high standards of patient care and continued professional development, with the established doctor team providing opportunities for case discussion and shared clinical expertise.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
