Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a 24-hour emergency and referral veterinary hospital seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team, working with dogs, cats, and a wide range of exotic species including birds, rabbits, ferrets, rodents, hedgehogs, sugar gliders, reptiles, and amphibians. This hospital offers a fast-paced and diverse clinical environment with exposure to both emergency and general practice cases.

Role Description and Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide comprehensive veterinary care across a varied caseload, including emergency and critical care, diagnostics, internal medicine, and surgical procedures. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic workups, delivering treatment plans, conducting surgeries as appropriate, and maintaining accurate medical records. You will collaborate closely with experienced surgeons and veterinary colleagues in a fast-paced setting, making strong communication and teamwork essential. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
This is a 24-hour emergency and referral hospital offering a diverse caseload, including referral cases from across the state alongside local general practice cases. The hospital is fully equipped with advanced technology, including digital radiology, ultrasound, echocardiography, EKG, MRI, endoscopy, laparoscopy, and an in-house laboratory and pharmacy. Services offered include advanced dental care, cardiology, oncology, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, emergency and critical care, internal medicine, rehabilitation, and preventative care, as well as ZooMED animal care. The hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing continuous emergency and specialty services. The environment is collaborative, with a strong focus on advanced medicine and clinical development.

Team
The team consists of 8 DVMs and a great tenured support team, fostering a collaborative and well-supported working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
