Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring a part-time Associate Veterinarian to join their small animal practice in Milwaukee, WI. This full-service companion animal hospital is dedicated to delivering high-quality, relationship-centered medicine in a supportive and collaborative environment. The practice is seeking a veterinarian looking for flexibility, supplemental hours, or improved work-life balance while continuing to practice comprehensive small animal medicine in a modern urban hospital setting.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide small animal general practice care including preventative medicine, wellness exams, diagnostics, dentistry, soft-tissue surgery, internal medicine, urgent and same-day sick visits, client education, and continuity of care across all life stages. The hospital emphasizes compassionate, Fear Free-focused care and strong client relationships within a fast-paced environment. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship, workflow support, and continuing education resources available to support professional development. The position is designed for approximately 8–15 hours per week with scheduling flexibility available.

Practice Details
This full-service companion animal hospital is equipped with exam rooms, treatment and surgical areas, in-house diagnostics, and modern workflow systems designed to support efficient, patient-focused care. Services offered include wellness and prevention, testing and diagnostics, advanced care, and surgical procedures. The practice follows evidence-based medical protocols and provides access to specialty consultations for complex cases. The hospital is committed to delivering high-quality medicine while supporting professional growth through mentorship, educational opportunities, and collaborative teamwork. Hospital hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the hospital closed Friday through Sunday.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
