Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join a small animal general practice. The clinic is focused on expanding its services, upgrading equipment, and building a collaborative and growth-oriented environment for both new and experienced veterinarians.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Tuesday from 7:00am to 5:00pm and Thursday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, and is closed on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. Flexible scheduling is offered to support work-life balance.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves providing care across wellness, surgery, and dentistry, with responsibilities including patient examinations, diagnostics, surgical procedures, and client communication. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship available for those early in their careers.
Practice Details
The practice is a small animal general practice with an average daily patient volume of 16 or more cases. Equipment includes ultrasound, a new surgery table, and dental x-ray. Services offered include wellness care and exams, vaccinations, dental care, diagnostics and imaging, spay and neuter, parasite prevention, deworming, dermatology, microchipping, surgery, nutrition and diet counseling, and in-house laboratory testing including bloodwork, radiology, and ultrasound. The clinic is focused on expanding services and fostering a collaborative, teaching-focused culture with strong support and medical autonomy.
Team
The team includes a support staff ratio of 3:1, creating a highly supportive and collaborative environment focused on mentorship, teamwork, and professional growth.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
