Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. They are open to both full-time and part-time applicants and provide care for cats and dogs. Having served the community since 1983, the hospital has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality veterinary care and is looking to welcome either an experienced veterinarian or a new graduate to their team.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This position involves providing the full scope of general practice responsibilities, including wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to deliver high-quality patient care while collaborating with the wider veterinary team. The hospital is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. Working hours are open to discussion, with the practice operating a half-day on Saturdays and referring all after-hours cases to emergency facilities.
Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays. The practice offers the full scope of general practice services, including wellness, preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry, alongside urgent care and chiropractic care. The facility is equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography for both body and dental imaging, laser therapy, and a full IDEXX in-house laboratory featuring equipment for CBCs, chemistries, the SediVue for urine analysis, and the InVue DX for real-time cytology and blood morphology.
Team
The hospital is home to a team of three veterinarians supported by a great team of support staff, providing a collaborative environment focused on delivering excellent patient care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
