Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a practice seeking an Associate Veterinarian on either a full-time or part-time basis. This full-service mixed animal hospital provides care for companion animals, equine patients, and large animals, and is looking to expand its team. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with a particular need for a predominantly small animal veterinarian with a passion for surgery while offering the opportunity to build a large animal caseload if desired.
Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will examine and treat patients, diagnose diseases and injuries, operate diagnostic equipment, collect and interpret diagnostic samples, advise owners on preventative care and treatment options, perform surgery, prescribe medications, and provide end-of-life counselling. You will maintain accurate medical records while delivering high-quality veterinary care across a varied caseload. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
The practice is a full-service mixed animal hospital specialising in advanced veterinary care for companion animals, equine patients, and large animals. The facility is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, and an in-house laboratory with Coggins testing. Additional services include wellness care, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, in-home euthanasia, advanced laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, and ultrasound. The practice also offers equine medicine and surgery, reproduction, sports medicine, and rehabilitation. Surgical procedures are performed using modern equipment with surgical monitoring throughout anesthesia, while digital radiography and in-house laboratory services support rapid diagnosis and treatment. Hospital hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM–12:00 PM and 2:00 PM–5:30 PM.
