Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a privately owned small animal and exotics practice seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team on either a full-time or part-time basis. The practice is proudly privately owned and offers flexibility around the species seen, with doctors welcome to see whichever species align with their interests.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide a full scope of general practice responsibilities, including wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery and dentistry. Doctor hours are open to discussion, and the position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
The practice provides a full scope of general practice services alongside rehabilitation. Equipment includes digital x-ray, dental x-ray, in-house laboratory capabilities and cold laser therapy. The practice is AAFP accredited. Hospital opening hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8am–5pm, Tuesday and Thursday from 8am–8pm, and Saturday from 9am–3pm. The hospital is closed on Sundays.
Team
The team currently includes 2 DVMs. Doctors are supported by a minimum 3:1 technician-to-doctor ratio, with the ratio often reaching 4:1 or 5:1.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
