Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a privately owned small animal practice seeking an Associate Veterinarian on either a full-time or part-time basis. The practice sees small animals, pocket pets, some exotics excluding reptiles, and fowl including chickens and ducks. However, a veterinarian wishing to focus solely on cats and dogs would also be welcome.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide a full scope of general practice responsibilities. Doctor hours are open to discussion, offering flexibility around the successful candidate’s schedule. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The practice is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm and is closed on weekends. Services include a full scope of general practice care, including wellness, preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery and dentistry, alongside laser therapy and urgent care. The hospital is equipped with ultrasound, digital X-ray, digital dental X-ray and IDEXX in-house laboratory equipment, with well-maintained equipment throughout. The facility includes three exam rooms and a dedicated euthanasia room with a separate entrance.

Team
The team currently includes one DVM, four technicians, two assistants, two receptionists and an office manager. The practice maintains at least a 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio at all times.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
