Job Description
Introduction
This established general practice hospital in Meridian, Idaho is hiring for an Associate Veterinarian to join its three-doctor team. The practice is focused on preventative medicine, long-term patient wellness, and building strong relationships with pets and their owners. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and recent graduates seeking a supportive environment with flexible scheduling, clinical autonomy, and opportunities for continued professional growth.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive veterinary care with a strong emphasis on preventative medicine for cats and dogs. Responsibilities include building close relationships with clients, working collaboratively with teammates, and contributing to a positive and dynamic hospital culture. The role is suited to a veterinarian who values client communication, teamwork, and the ability to practice medicine with autonomy while continuing to develop professionally.
Practice Details
The hospital provides general veterinary care with a focus on preventative medicine and patient wellbeing. Veterinarians are supported with continuing education opportunities, dedicated coaching, leadership development pathways, and resources designed to support both clinical growth and work life balance. Hospital hours are Monday through Saturday from 8:00am to 4:00pm, with the hospital closed on Sundays.
Team
The hospital currently has a team of three veterinarians working alongside a supportive clinical team. The culture emphasizes collaboration, positive communication, and helping veterinarians feel supported both in and outside of work.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
