Job Description

Introduction
This is an excellent opportunity for an Associate Veterinarian to join an AAHA-accredited, Cat Friendly and Fear Free Certified hospital delivering consistently high standards of small animal care in Meridian, Idaho. The role is ideal for a veterinarian who values clinical excellence, low-stress handling, and practising medicine within a well-structured, quality-driven environment. With strong community trust and a clear commitment to best-practice standards, this position offers the chance to do your best work within a calm, supportive setting.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm, with Saturday hours from 9am to 4pm and closure on Sundays. The rota is designed to support continuity of care while maintaining sustainable working patterns across the team. This structure allows for a balanced schedule while ensuring consistent clinical coverage and collaboration.

Role Description and Responsibilities
In this role, you will deliver high-quality medical and surgical care across a varied small animal caseload, managing cases from initial consultation through diagnostics, treatment, and follow-up. You will build trusted, long-term client relationships through clear communication and education, contribute to urgent care services when required, and collaborate closely with colleagues to maintain clinical standards. The position supports ongoing learning and development, allowing you to practise confidently while continuing to refine your skills.

Practice Details
The hospital provides comprehensive small animal care for dogs and cats, offering services that include preventative medicine, advanced diagnostics, urgent care, soft tissue surgery, and end-of-life support. AAHA accreditation underpins every aspect of clinical delivery, from anaesthesia and surgery to patient safety and medical protocols. Cat Friendly and Fear Free certifications ensure a low-stress, patient-centred approach that benefits animals, clients, and clinical teams alike, creating an environment where thoughtful, high-standard medicine can thrive.

Team
You will be joining a large and collaborative team of eight veterinarians, supported by experienced technicians and support staff. The culture is professional, consultative, and team-oriented, with a strong emphasis on shared knowledge, mentorship, and mutual respect. This multi-doctor environment provides excellent support for both experienced clinicians and those continuing to develop their confidence and clinical interests.
