Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing comprehensive veterinary care for cats and dogs and is currently hiring an Associate Veterinarian. The practice has a long-standing reputation for delivering compassionate, high-quality medicine and has been serving its community for decades. As a full-service animal hospital, it offers an environment where veterinarians can focus on building strong client relationships while providing thorough, patient-centered care.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and on Saturday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. The practice is closed on Sundays, offering a consistent schedule with weekend work limited to Saturdays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be a compassionate and skilled clinician dedicated to providing high-quality veterinary care and building lasting relationships with clients through clear communication and education. Daily responsibilities include comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups, performing diagnostic procedures and surgery, maintaining accurate medical records, and managing pharmacy duties such as prescribing medications and following controlled substance protocols. The role also involves promoting teamwork and staff efficiency, working closely with the Hospital Manager and Regional Manager on weekly priorities, evaluating and monitoring hospital protocols from intake to discharge, monitoring hospitalized cases and attending daily rounds when possible, participating in practice management updates and training, and completing other duties as assigned by management. Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a veterinary practice.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with digital radiography (X-rays), in-house bloodwork, urinalysis, and fecal testing to support routine diagnostics and patient care. The facility is conveniently located and offers a relaxed working environment. Services provided include vaccinations and prevention, routine exams, dental care, and care for puppies and kittens, allowing veterinarians to support patients through all stages of life.

Team
The team consists of three DVMs working alongside a supportive group of staff. The environment is collaborative and team-oriented, with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff working closely together to ensure high standards of care and a positive experience for both clients and patients.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
