Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their established and well-respected practice in Midtown Memphis, Tennessee. Since 1994, this hospital has been providing comprehensive, high-quality, and affordable care to the local pet community, supported by a dedicated and experienced team.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position structured around a four-day work week. The hospital is open from 8 am – 5 pm Monday to Friday and then 8 am – 2 pm on a Saturday, with the hospital closed on Sunday.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for providing a wide range of clinical services, including wellness care, diagnostics, soft-tissue and orthopedic surgery, internal medicine, and dentistry. The role is best suited for an experienced veterinarian who is looking to work in a fast-paced, well-equipped environment with opportunities to further specialize through CE in areas such as surgery, dental care, and ultrasound.
Practice Details
The hospital features a top-tier facility with advanced equipment including digital radiology, therapeutic laser, ultrasound (depending on location), in-house laboratory suites, and an on-site pharmacy. The practice supports a diverse caseload and emphasizes high-quality, client-focused care. The environment is progressive and offers both routine and advanced surgical capabilities.
Team
The hospital is currently home to three DVMs and a strong support staff. The culture is collaborative and supportive, creating a professional atmosphere where team members work together to deliver exceptional veterinary care while encouraging continuous learning and development.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
