Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring an Associate Veterinarian to join a state-of-the-art, AAHA-accredited practice focused on delivering high-quality care to dogs and cats. The hospital is seeking a veterinarian who is passionate about exceptional medicine, values client relationships, and enjoys working within a collaborative team environment.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves a wide range of clinical responsibilities including wellness exams, vaccinations, dentistry, soft tissue surgery such as spay/neuter, mass removals and foreign body procedures, as well as diagnostics and management of acute and chronic conditions. Additional responsibilities include client education, preventive care, and providing comprehensive treatment options for sick patients. The position offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time options available and is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
Our client is an AAHA-accredited hospital established in 1982, known for maintaining rigorous standards in patient care, safety, and medical excellence. The practice operates from a state-of-the-art facility equipped with modern diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities including ultrasound, digital X-rays, and laser surgery technology. Services offered include preventative wellness care, vaccinations, new puppy and kitten care, dental care, surgery including spay and neuter procedures, diagnostics and therapeutics, allergy management, pain management, and emergency care. The hospital follows cat-friendly practices and utilizes fear-free techniques to ensure patient comfort. The culture emphasizes compassion, respect, work-life balance, and continuous learning and development. Hospital opening hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 am–6:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am–12:00 pm, and Sunday closed.
Team
The team consists of 6 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team. The environment is highly collaborative and supportive, with a strong focus on teamwork, communication, and ongoing professional growth.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
