Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a practice providing small animal veterinary care and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable and experienced clinic with a strong focus on mentorship and high-quality medicine.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. The position offers full-time or part-time flexibility.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will examine and treat companion animals, diagnose diseases and injuries, perform surgeries, and prescribe medications. Responsibilities include operating diagnostic equipment, collecting and interpreting samples, advising clients on preventative care and treatment options, and providing end-of-life care guidance. The role also involves maintaining accurate medical records and working collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality care. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with strong mentorship available.
Practice Details
This is a small animal practice offering a wide range of services including wellness care, vaccinations, surgery such as spays, neuters, declaws, and mass removals, dentistry including ultrasonic scaling and extractions, and an in-house pharmacy. Additional services include microchipping, nutritional counseling, dermatology, geriatric care, parasite prevention, and Class IV laser therapy for pain and inflammation management. The practice also provides referral services for advanced diagnostics and specialized cases. The clinic promotes a supportive and mentorship-focused environment, with a strong emphasis on surgery, preventative care, and long-term patient wellbeing.
Team
The team consists of 1 DVM supported by a great tenured support team, creating a close-knit and collaborative working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
