Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a well-established veterinary hospital in Meadow Vista, California, seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join their multi-doctor team. This full-service practice has proudly served the community since 1948 and is known for its compassionate, high-quality care for cats, dogs, and large animals.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and is closed on weekends. This Associate Veterinarian position is full-time.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role is best suited for an experienced small animal veterinarian with a strong interest in general practice and wellness care. Daily responsibilities include performing physical exams, administering vaccinations, conducting diagnostic workups, and managing both surgical and dental cases. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator who thrives in a collaborative setting and values client relationships and continuity of care.

Practice Details
The clinic is fully equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, cold laser therapy, in-house laboratory testing, ECG/EKG, and digital dental X-rays. The practice offers services such as preventive care, surgery, dentistry, grooming, and specialty care through access to board-certified professionals in cardiology, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, and radiology. The caseload is varied, with a focus on small animals for this role.

Team
The veterinary team includes six DVMs, four of whom are board-certified specialists. The clinic promotes a collaborative and supportive environment with a strong team culture and access to specialty expertise in-house.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
